ITAM Summit 2026
Practitioner-only, vendor-neutral ITAM summit
About this event
The ITAM Summit is the annual practitioner-led gathering of the IT Management Cooperative in Oak Ridge, three days of 300/400-level, vendor-neutral work on ITAM, SAM, CMDB and FinOps. No sponsored sessions. Confirmed mentors include former Gartner practice leader Patricia Cicala, IAITAM fellows Larry Shoup and Bill Thurman, SAMexpert's Alexander Golev and OpenLM's William Choppa, each leading a mentored block on topics from vendor licensing to audit preparation.
Who it's for
ITAM Summit is really all about the practitioner and leadership side of IT asset management, career development, funding conversations, vendor/licensing pressure, and organisational change. It is not particularly relevant for hands-on technical implementers looking for tool deep-dives, but is extremely relevant for senior ITAM/SAM leaders and managers navigating budget, team-building, and audit risk. The mentor-block, round-table format also suits practitioners wanting peer input rather than vendor pitches.
