FOSSGIS-Konferenz 2027

The FOSSGIS-Konferenz is the largest German-language conference for free and open source geospatial software and OpenStreetMap, run by the non-profit FOSSGIS e.V. The 2027 edition takes place at the audiMAX in Heidelberg, with talks, community sessions, workshops and an academic track, closing with the OSM Saturday and a community sprint. The programme is due to be published in early January 2027.

The leading conference in the German-speaking region for free and open-source GIS, open data and OpenStreetMap, bringing together users, developers, researchers and newcomers. Talks cover web mapping, spatial data infrastructures, geodata management and analysis and desktop GIS, alongside paid hands-on workshops and community sessions, and the event is largely run by volunteers.
